Event Sustainability - Catering

Opportunity Green’s policies for catering call for local, organic, fresh and seasonal foods. This year, red meat and endangered fish species have also been banned. By setting these standards, we hope to provide food that is healthy for our attendees and healthy for the Earth.

In 2010, our company featured mostly vegan and organic food supplied by Tender Greens, Auntie Em’s Catering, and Green Truck. In addition, guests enjoyed local organic wine from Casa Barranca, and beer and spirits from acclaimed sustainable and socially-conscious New Belgium Brewing and VeeV respectively.

We try also to reduce the environmental footprint of tableware. In 2010, guests filled their Vapur reusable bottles at Evepure’s hydratation stations, leaving zero waste, and food was served on compostable dishes and reusable, recycled plastic plates from Preserve.
