Green initiatives gets the ball rolling at Fox Studios

Josh Mark, Executive Director, Special Event Product, Creative Services for Fox Broadcasting Company, has been responsible for “greening” special events at Fox in the past few years. Most recently he worked on greening the 2008 American Idol Finale and 2008 Teen Choice Awards – powered by B99 biodiesel.  Having previously attended Opportunity Green in November 2008, he decided to share a few eco-initiatives taking place at FOX.

Under the “Green it, Mean it” mantra, Mark discussed the comprehensive recycling program, composting efforts, and reduced bottle water consumption already underway.  Also striking a chord are the employee hybrid car incentive and a push towards utilizing hybrid vehicles behind-the-scenes on the FOX lot.

Opportunity Green hopes the initiatives demonstrating responsibility to the environment and society will propagate throughout the FOX organization.
