A Call To Action

The second Governors Global Climate Summit began with a notable opening ceremony. Attendees were welcomed by the likes of Harrison Ford (Vice Chair, Conservation International), Linda Adams (California Secretary for Environmental Protection), David Boyer (Director of Prince Sadruddin Aga Khan Fund For Environment), and our own Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The summit brings together key executives at the sub-national level to find lasting solutions to global climate change through workshops and speaker panels addressing offsets, health implications, solutions for transportation and mobility, water management, the carbon market, economic development, forestry, emerging technologies.

The coolest part is that we can all follow along through a live webcast and archived video library. The summit continues until 3:30PM tomorrow, so follow along for inspiration on how you can make an impact!

I’m jealous, it sounds like a great event. Maybe I’ll catch it next year.
