Tim Fernholz is the business editor at GOOD Magazine. Before joining GOOD, he covered politics and economic policy as correspondent at National Journal. He began his career as staff writer at the American Prospect magazine, where he wrote about politics, health care reform and the economics. As a fellow at the New America foundation, he researched economic policy around financial crisis and the changing landscape for financial services delivery. His work has been published by the New Republic, Newsweek, Fast Company, the Daily Beast, The Guardian (UK), The Nation, American Lawyer, the Washington City Paper and Campus Progress. He has appeared on CBC, CNBC, C-SPAN, Al Jazeera, RT TV and MSNBC, and a variety of public and satellite radio stations. He graduated from Georgetown University, studied at the American University in Cairo, and was awarded a Knight Journalism fellowship in 2009.
