Director of Campaign Development and Social Action
Kristen Irving is Director of Campaign Development, Social Action for Participant Media, where she is responsible for creating and implementing advocacy and multi-media programs for Participant’s feature and documentary films (recent Participant films include Food, Inc., Waiting For Superman and The Help). Prior to Participant, Kristen served as Director of Nonprofit Relations at Causecast.org, an online platform for nonprofit organizations, corporations and individuals where she was responsible for managing nearly 100 nonprofit clients and integrating tech and new media tools into their strategy and models. While at Causecast, Kristen created editorial, exposure and fundraising campaigns for various nonprofits, many of which lived on the Impact section of The Huffington Post. Kristen worked for three years at the CAA Foundation, and spent time working at Hollygrove, a local residential facility for children as a child care counselor. Kristen serves on the board of I Am That Girl, an empowerment company for girls and women, and is helping the founders of Tender Greens Restaurants develop a nonprofit that uses food as a nourisher and source of community and skills for youth aging out of the foster system in Los Angeles. Kristen studied Psychology at Azusa Pacific University and lives in West Hollywood.
